C. Auguste Dupin, formerly the world's greatest detective, had once suffered a mental breakdown because of an impossibly unsolvable case, once again but reluctantly takes on his mantle as a sleuth when a mysterious woman with raven hair arives from 40 years into the future and asks him to aid her on a mission to find Sherlock Holmes, and even perhaps to stop a looming global catastrophe.
